Recently, during the completion ceremony of the Moyale Dry Port Expansion Project in Ethiopia, Weihua's rail-mounted gantry container cranes (RMG) and rubber-tired gantry container cranes (RTG) were officially put into operation—marking the first time Ethiopia introduced complete sets of container terminal lifting equipment of these two types.

In this project, Weihua manufactured and delivered 2 rail-mounted container gantry cranes (RMG) and 3 rubber-tired container gantry cranes (RTG). The equipment was put into operation simultaneously with the expansion of the Mojiao Port, directly handling the transfer operations between rail-bound containers and yard-stored containers. This addresses the connectivity gap between railways and yards, enhancing the efficiency of import/export cargo consolidation and the speed of customs clearance and turnover.
The Mojo Dry Port is Ethiopia's largest inland port, handling the storage and transit of most of the country's import and export goods. After completing its expansion and modernization, the Mojo Dry Port will further enhance the capacity of the Addis Ababa-Djibouti Railway, reduce inland transit costs, and thereby foster industrial development and employment growth along the railway line and in the surrounding areas of Mojo City.
For Wei Hua, the Mogadishu Port is not just an ordinary delivery project but another strategic anchor point in its deepening presence in Ethiopia and accelerated global expansion. In the future, Wei Hua will continue to translate its advantages in port lifting into implementation capabilities, deeply engage in the prosperity belt of the Addis Ababa-Djibouti Railway and the logistics system construction in Ethiopia, and enhance the China-made brand through high-quality project execution.
