Background Introduction

In eastern Saudi Arabia, a mega-project of national strategic significance and vital for public welfare is under construction—the Jafurah Seawater Desalination and Water Supply Pipeline Project. As a key component of Saudi Aramco's Jafurah Gas Field development and a critical initiative under the "Saudi Vision 2030," the project will, upon completion, boast a daily desalination capacity of 80,000 cubic meters and approximately 200 kilometers of water pipelines, providing continuous and stable desalinated water supply for the gas field development.

In this internationally renowned project, Weihua, as the crane supplier, provided 29 sets of crane equipment, including double girder overhead cranes, single girder overhead cranes, gantry cranes, and electric hoists, serving key areas such as water intake pump stations, reverse osmosis units, and booster pump stations, offering robust support for the lifting, transportation, and maintenance of desalination equipment.

The design team underwent multiple rounds of drawing revisions. Li Yuxi, President of the Middle East Region and concurrently serving as the project manager, organized multiple late-night meetings with business representative He Miaomiao and technical representative Wang Xintao to address client concerns, facilitating cross-timezone communication with the client;

To ensure the delivery schedule, the Middle East region activated an emergency production mechanism, implementing a "two-shift" system in the production process and dispatching supply chain personnel to monitor production on-site, guaranteeing zero delays;

On-site engineer Lü Jianxun endured the scorching summer temperatures of nearly 50°C in Saudi Arabia, working over 12 hours daily to inspect components, guide installations, and ensure each piece of equipment was precisely positioned.

Under the efficient service of Wei Hua's team—"2-hour arrival + 24-hour resolution"—Wei Hua equipment achieved zero failure rate in operation, with service response "faster than demand," earning high recognition from customers.

For a long time, the crane equipment for high-end seawater desalination projects in the Middle East has been monopolized by brands from Europe, America, and Japan.
