CCTV Live! Weihua 300 ton bridge crane sets a new record!

On the morning of May 2nd, at the live broadcast of CCTV news, two 300 ton new Chinese style bridge cranes from Weihua, Henan Province smoothly and accurately lifted the rotor of Unit 1 of Zhejiang Tiantai Pumped Storage Power Station into the No. 1 pit along the predetermined lifting route, marking a milestone progress in the installation project of China's first single unit capacity 425 MW pumped storage unit.

The Tiantai Pumped Storage Power Station in Zhejiang Province is equipped with four reversible water turbine generators with a single capacity of 425 megawatts, a rated generating head of 724 meters, and a total length of 3652.9 meters of water transmission system. It is currently the pumped storage power station with the highest head, largest single capacity, deepest burial depth, and longest shaft system in China.

The rotor lifted this time is one of the core components of the pumped storage power station generator set, with a total lifting weight of 516 tons.

In response to the requirements for safe, stable, and precise operation during the rotor lifting process, as well as the complex and special working conditions during installation, Weihua has adopted a parallel lifting operation plan for two 300 ton new Chinese bridge cranes.

During the lifting process, Weihua independently developed a modular rotor specific turning lifting device, combined with a unique snap ring translation fixture and advanced technologies such as dual machine linkage mechanism and large vehicle correction, demonstrating extremely high precision and stability, ensuring the safe and smooth lifting of the rotor into place.
